Laying the Foundation

It’s not glamorous, but there’s nothing more important than a strong foundation. And we now have it. After many weeks of preparation, the critical first floor building slab was poured during two days in January. Prior to the pour, a complex network of infrastructure was installed below the floor grade- electrical lines, drainage lines, sanitary sewer lines, water lines, the sprinkler main and the elevator foundation. These critical elements support the thoughtful design for building efficiency and performance crafted by the professional planning team. Substantial building foundation footers and piers were installed to provide stability and strength for the building superstructure to soon be constructed. A critical step has been reached.
