Reimagining An Icon

With the storage building now open, Phase 2 of the Varsity Park project is now underway. The iconic, but tired Graves Humphreys is undergoing an exciting renovation with building upgrades and a new feel that will complement the neighboring storage facility. The building is already home to a number of businesses and will soon have additional, refreshed spaces available for those looking to locate in this highly-desirable location.

Upon the purchase of the Graves Humphreys it was decided to rebrand the entire property to represent its rebirth as a forward-looking icon that also reflects the building’s new operators. The building itself will now be called the Varsity Park Business Center, while the overall property, including the storage facility, will be known as Varsity Park. New signage with the “Varsity Park” brand will replace the red channel letters that once were visible from 581.

A full updating of the building’s exterior will correspond with the other improvements, like a new, private parking lot, that will improve functionality and desirability of the Varsity Park Business Center.  Building improvements include new cornices, windows and awnings, as well as the removal of visual eyesores such as HVAC equipment, outdated cables and conduit. New lighting, signage and landscaping will complete the transformation and result in a much more current, modern business center.
