Great Location, Bad Soil

The Virginia Varsity Storage - Franklin building is in a GREAT location. It is convenient to downtown, the VTC, the Franklin Road corridor and surrounding neighborhoods. However, due to its proximity to the river, the soil quality is less than desirable.

Today begins the work to improve the soil! A total of 587 geopiers (all of the orange dots in the picture above!) will be drilled over the next few days and will stabilize the soil for the foundation of the new building. Stay tuned for updates!
